Well, it's just as I imagined. Kouta realized that the happy ending he was planning for Kanau was impossible from the beginning. It's a huge cliffhanger here, can't wait for the next one :D!
Poor Kouta and nicchi should have been kicked out of the boarding house for all that crap he put Kouta through and nozomi doesn't deserve anyone as far as I'm concerned. I wonder what kouta will do now, get custody over his kid or what doesn't seem kanau will never be happy after all that.
New ending: Maesawa, Nozomi, and Nicchi are involved in a car accident. Nicchi and Maesawa both die. Nozomi ends up in a coma. Kouta gets Kanau and adopts Tsukamu (or he ends up with his grandparents). The End. Everybody happy! ...except for the pettanko who... becomes a superfamous mangaka and moves out of Higansou.
In all honestly I hope Kanau ends up in kouta's custody, how can the guy just forget about his daughter first time i have ever hated a manga character. I don't think the marriage with that guy will work out(speculation not fact), everything came crashing down for kouta and kanau. The Maesawa guy is kidding himself if he can bring happiness for Kanau, hopefully Kouta will be a man and do something to get his daughter back.
Man, this manga has seriously gone down hill since the whole secret marriage thing. I'm surprised Kouta hasn't committed suicide with all of the shit that has happened to him.

My reaction to this chapter was; RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!
Fortunately I expected it. Ever since the secret marriage thing, the author is just trying to troll his readers beyond the impossible and succeeding at it. That is probably why he had to end it in a hurry, or am I the only one who thinks the ending feels rushed?
So I was transferring all the chapters to my new hard drive and cancelled and about 3 of my manga disappeared because I cut it like an idiot instead of copy, does anyone know where I could find the first 29 chapters anymore? BTW thanks as always for the chapters.
Man, this is the first time I hated a manga author in my life, in my opinion, if the author were to write a good manga and make a bad end, I would rather have never read this manga in my life, I think this author hates life and wants to make us feel bad as it feels. I also thought they had a car accident and Kouta-kun would get Kanau, but only when he writes the next chapter we will know what will happen. I just say one thing, if that author, makes an unhappy ending, I will not read any manga of it! I liked this manga, but now I hate it! YOu can get the first 29 chapters in Eat Mangá! Good Work friend, keep like this! ^^
My predictions / the way I want this manga to end:
- Kouta returns to Higansou completely mindfucked and heartbroken. Haruka is there to comfort him (KoutaxHaruka moment here). Everyone is upset at Nicchi for knowing the truth all along and not saying anything about it. Haruka says he's not really a true friend of Kouta even though Nicchi says it so all the time. Nicchi pretends to not feel anything but actually starts to doubt himself.
- Taeko comes up with a plan of having Kouta and Haruka marry each other in order to get Kanau back. Kouta freaks out but will do anything it takes to get her daughter back. Haruka is reluctant but of course goes along "just" to save Kanau. Thus, history repeats itself. This will make it look better in the court since it's going to be Kouta/Haruka vs. Takurou/Nozomi. Why would the judge choose for Kanau to live with a single father when she can be with Takurou/Nozomi.
- Before they sign the documents to get married, Haruka FINALLY has the balls to confess her love for him and explains when her feelings first came to be. (remember the apple drawing? or when he helped her draw her doujin?) Kouta asks why she would love someone like him who's so poor, a total idiot, a bad father, otaku and a clown <- lol etc... Haruka finds him to be a very kind person on the inside and that he deserves someone better than a bitch like Nozomi who only cares about herself. She feels calm when he's around. Haruka says she might not be as beautiful or tall but she wants to try her best to become someone worthy of being a wife.
- Kouta is deeply touched and vows to make Haruka and Kanau happy forever. He apologizes for giving her such a cheap wedding. Haruka laughs and says it's better to save money for otaku stuff (doujin-games). They actually have a lot in common. They smile and stare into each other's eyes (KoutaxHakuka moment yay <3) but is briefly interrupted by the others who are eavesdropping in the background................so cliche
- Shit happens and they all end up in court. Kouta wants Kanau back ONCE and for all.
- All of Kouta's family and friends support him and it looks like they're going to win the case. However, Takurou tries to get the upper hand by telling the judge that he's a doctor and has a greater salary than a mangaka like Kouta. This could go either way. (cliffhanger)
- Nicchi ends up being the last guy to talk and he has the biggest decision of his life to make. He gets to decide the fate of Kanau. Fortunately, he does the right thing and ends up favoring Kouta. Nozomi now has absolute hate for Nicchi. This means she can also move on in life and let go of the past. She may even go as far as calling him a lolicon in public and having him arrested. lololol
True Ending: - Kanau, who now fears Nozomi's true persona, returns to Kouta with her new mother, Haruka, whom she has always gotten along just fine. The three of them start living together. Kouta decides to make Haruka his assistant and they work closely together. They produce a doujin that beats Mitsune Kuonji's (Haruka's sister) in terms of popularity and sales. With their salary improved they can now expand their living space in Higansou.
- Nozomi gets married and starts living with Takurou and Tsukamu. She really misses her daughter and starts regretting what she's done in the past. She decides to visit them (knocking on the door this time) and reconciles with Kouta, Haruka and Kanau. Kanau tells her real mother that she's happy being here and that this is her home. Nozomi understands and leaves with a smile. Nicchi was hiding in the background and contemplates on what to do.
- Nicchi decides to leave Higansou for good so that Kouta can live without any worries. He's never seen again.
